Mohamed Alouane is a Morocco-based AI governance and inclusive development advisor, speaker, and founder of EuroMedAI. His work connects Southern Mediterranean realities with global debates on AI governance, digital inclusion, civil society, and democratic resilience. He brings over a decade of experience in donor-funded development programs, local governance, youth participation, and regional cooperation.

Mohamed Alouane is a Euro-Mediterranean AI governance and inclusive development advisor based in Morocco. He is the founder of EuroMedAI, a regional network working to bridge the AI divide and promote inclusive, safe, and responsible AI governance across the Euro-Mediterranean space. His work connects grassroots implementation with policy dialogue, bringing together civil society, local governments, youth, researchers, and institutions around digital transformation and democratic resilience. Mohamed has over a decade of experience designing and implementing donor-funded programs on civil society strengthening, youth participation, local governance, climate resilience, and inclusive economic development. He has contributed to regional conversations on the New Pact for the Mediterranean, the Union for the Mediterranean, AI readiness, and digital inclusion. His speaking focuses on how underrepresented regions can move from being passive consumers of AI to active governance actors.
